The 2018 version of the Amelia is finally here
The first Amelia was designed to be a high performance competition yoyo, and the 2018 version of the Amelia is no difference.
The basic design is exactly the same, but there are several changes to the yoyo based on feedback from the community. The main problem people have on the OG Amelia was that the gap is slightly too wide, at 4,7 mm making bind loose and sometimes difficult to do, moreover if thin string were used. The gap width has been reduced to 4, 4 mm to ease up the binding process. Other than that, the overall width has been reduced. The mayor want to add some stability and heft feeling to the yoyo without increasing the weight. One way that he know how to archive this is to make the weight rings slightly closer from each other. But due to this, the overall effective width has been reduced slightly, but the yoyo feel more solid from the previous model without altering its agility.
If you have try the OG Amelia, you have to try this one, get personal with it, and you might like this one better.
